The heavy rains from Hurricane Milton, combined with our everyday water use, can put serious stress on the wastewater system. When a storm hits our area, the combination of regular water use and groundwater seeping into the pipes can push the system to its limits. Here's how you can help: Stick to your regular laundry routine (now isn't the time for extra loads!) Run the dishwasher only when it's full By reducing water use, we can ease the burden on the wastewater system and help our community recover quickly! Ensure lawn sprinkler systems are off Keep showers short Keep wet wipes, hygiene products, and "flushable" wipes out of the toilet to prevent backups.
