- Interviewed
three (3) candidates for Police Chief position.
Presented conditional offer to Ron Krueger, Chief of Police for Marine
City, Michigan. Offer accepted. Required testing scheduled for week of
September 3, 2007. Tentative start date established for Monday,
September 24, 2007.
- Attended "Meet the Police Chief
Candidates" conducted in the Community Center.
- Received draft of Stormwater Master Plan
Update. In process of staff review for development of final document.
Workshop will be scheduled for presentation to Town Commission.
- Attended Florida League of Cities Annual
Conference in Orlando.
- Attended budget workshops with the Town
Commission to review the FY08 proposed budget.
- Met with Contractor, Project Engineer and
Town staff to review status of Oak Street Corrective Action Plan Project.
- Public Works staff reviewed options for the
replacement of irrigation well used for sod and landscaping on south
side of Ocean Avenue, east of Oak Street.
- Attended Board of Adjustment meeting. Actions
taken include:
1. Continued Special Exception application
for Sand on the Beach until
October 25, 2007
to provide additional time for the applicant to
prepare
required information.
2. Continued Variance application for the
Chevron Station until October
25, 2007 to see
if a court decision has been rendered.
