Activities:

  • Completed construction and installation of new irrigation well in Ryckman Park. Awaiting response from the SJRWMD relative acceptance in the "Well Abandonment Program" for payment of costs associated with abandonment of old 12" irrigation well.

 

  • Initiated construction of a new irrigation well for Sunset Boulevard median.  Replaces failing well at this location.

 

  • Constructed piers for Ryckman House foundation. Waiting for concrete to cure before lowering house.

 

  • Replaced dead palm trees along Ocean Avenue. Trees were originally installed as part of Ocean Avenue Beautification Project. Trees were replaced by project contractor as warranty item.

 

  • Submitted Year 3 Annual Report as required by the Town's 5 year National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit.

 

  • Received notice from Florida Department of Environmental Protection of intent to perform compliance audit of the Town's NPDES permit.

 

  • Completed Revenue and Expense Statement for 2007 Founders Day event. Net cost (total revenue minus total expenses) for event total $605, compared to a net cost of $985 in the prior fiscal year. The FY 2007 budget contains a net cost of $2,200. It should be noted that the Police overtime is not included in these figures as their overtime is budgeted within the Police Department. With Police overtime included, the net cost to the Town for the FY 2007 and FY 2006 Founders Day events total $2,279 and $3,083, respectively.

 

 

  • Attended Planning and Zoning meeting. Actions taken include:
    1.  Finalized recommendation for an Ordinance to amend portions of the Land Development Code regulating walls and fences. To be presented for Town Commission consideration at its regular meeting to be held July 18, 2007.

 

    1. Formulated recommendation allowing Bed and Breakfast establishments as a permitted use by Special Exception in the 8-B Residential Business Zoning District.
