- Received
bids for sale of surplus Police cars. Bids received for the 2000 and 2001
Ford Crown Victorias totaled $1,401 and $1,289,
respectively.
- Packets
delivered to Civil Service Board members for review of Police Chief applicants. 79 inquires and 58
complete packets were received. Civil Service Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 10, 2007.
- Police
officer released from Holmes Regional
Medical Center.
Incident resulted from medical condition and not work-related injury. Our
workers’ compensation carrier will not be involved in the matter.
- Board
of Adjustment continued rehearing to consider Chevron Station variance
application to May 24, 2007.
- Planning
and Zoning Board acted on the following items:
Discussed and finalized provisions
for Ocean Avenue Redevelopment Ordinances. The ordinance will be prepared in
final form for consideration by the Planning and Zoning Board at its May 7, 2007 meeting.
Finalized
provisions for an ordinance to require installation of underground electric and
telephone services to individual properties under specific circumstances.

Discussed changes to a draft
ordinance amending provisions related to walls and fences in the Town of
