A budget workshop of the Town Commission of the Town of Melbourne Beach, Florida was
called to order by Mayor Wille at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2001 in the Community Center.

I. OVERVIEW OF PROPOSED MUNICIPAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2001/2002
Town Manager Ciummo presented a proposed budget to the Town Commission for fiscal year 2001/2002. The
Town Manager and Town Commission reviewed the projected revenues and expenditures for the Town and made
changes to the proposed budget.
Town Manager Ciummo suggested that the Town charge non-residents a fee for Notary services as many of the
requests are from residents south of the Town limits.
After a discussion, it is the consensus of the Town Commission the Town residents obtain Notary services free
of charge and non-residents be charged for this service.
It is the consensus of the Town Commission that the Town Manager look into a better way that the Town can
calculate how the Town charges for building permits and bring back a recommendation to the Town Commission.
II. DISCUSSION OF TENTATIVE MILLAGE RATES
A. OPERATING MILLAGE
It is the consensus of the Town Commission that the tentative operating millage rate be set at 3.7316 mills.
B. VOTED MILLAGE (DEBT SERVICE)
It is the consensus of the Town Commission that the tentative voted millage for debt service be set at .2827 mills.
There being no further business, the budget workshop of the Town Commission of the Town of Melbourne
Beach, Florida adjourned at 10:35 p.m.
