TOWN COMMISSION - Workshop Meeting

The Town Commission of the Town of Melbourne Beach, Florida met in workshop session on Thursday, June 16, 2005 in the 
Cynthia Masny Room of Town Hall, 507 Ocean Avenue, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Mayor Stacey called the meeting to order and offered the invocation. The entire assembly recited the 
Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Mayor Stacey called the meeting to order. The purpose of the meeting was to interview two applicants for the position of town 
clerk. Interim Town Clerk Rounsavall provided sample questions and an evaluation sheet for the commission’s use during the 
interviews. Two applicants were to be interviewed this evening with another two interviewed on Saturday, June 18, 2005.

Marianne Bartman was the first applicant to be interviewed. Individual commissioners questioned her as to her experience, 
education, knowledge and skills related to the position of town clerk. Mrs. Bartman held a bachelor’s degree in social studies/history 
from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. Her most recent experience was with Rollins College where she worked in various positions 
from 1992 until 2005. She was proficient in the development of WEB pages and was responsible for the production of various 
publications for the college.

The Town Commission then interviewed Donna Furfaro asking questions as to her experience, education, knowledge and skills. 
Ms. Furfaro was recently retired from the United States Air Force. She possessed a bachelor’s degree in theatre as well as master’s 
degree in public administration.

Two additional interviews were scheduled for Saturday, June 18, 2005 beginning at 9 a.m.

The meeting recessed at 7:45 p.m.
